Vienna Beach Trophy 2026

The 2026 edition of our traditional Vienna Beach Trophy will take place on August 14^th - 16^th, 2026. The VBT has become one of the biggest LGBTIQ tournaments in Europe played by beach rules. This year again, the Vienna Beach Trophy is hosted by Aufschlag Wien.

Male and mixed teams consist of two persons, and the women's competition will be played as Queen of the Court format. We will be playing on up to nine beach volleyball courts at Beachvolleyballzentrum Schmelz.

Sunday, 16^th August – 2.00 p.m. – Big Gay Picnic

Big Gay Picnic is a weekly summer hangout in Vienna for LGBTIQ people and their friends. The idea is simple: meet more often, in public, in daylight. Because community cannot survive on apps and one weekend of Pride per year.

Come as you are, bring what you have and just share space with real people in the sunshine. This is your time to connect with others and yourself, one sunny Sunday at a time.

It is totally free, fun, and open to everyone.

39 € per player/78 € per team

Liability

The participants are responsible for their own health. Please note that the organizers cannot be held liable for any damages or costs in case the tournament has to be cancelled due to official regulations. In this case, of course, the tournament fees will be refunded.
